What really works for the film is its massive star cast, gripping second half and also the skilled performances by each and every member of its cast.

It's literally slapstick humour, with a lot of slaps flying around between simians and humans, humans and humans. Nevertheless, it makes you laugh, provided you don't go looking for artistry and intelligence.

...what makes Housefull a watchable film is the fact that it aims to entertain and succeeds in doing so irrespective of its negative points.

Yeah-yeah-yeah the comedy is not bad, or let's just say it's better than what one would expect from this team.

...it's better if one keeps his/her thinking cap outside the theatre. Do not question the logic and you will enjoy it.

Story, sense, meaning... you won't find any of it in Housefull. Yet the film works, majorly because the situations are funny and the performances are top notch.

The direction of Sajid Khan seems to be in the same mould as his last one ‘Heyy Babyy’ was, but this time the slow pace of the flick in the middle has somewhat gone against the flick.

Laughter is the subject; a laugh, being a subjective thing, of course. So, laughing gas is forced into the climax. Canned laughter should elicit even more collective laughs. You want to pause for breath. Your brains deserve a break.

...slap on your senses as the film sticks to the slapstick genre in every literal sense. It’s shocking that the director feels electrocution scenes are funny even in current times and stretches the sequence with no potential difference from Tom and Jerry cartoons.

This is one more of those 'leave your brains behind' flicks. Frankly, if you do try to stop looking for logic, you may have a blast. The gags are situational and hilarious at times. On other occasions, they do draaaaaaag!

It’s just like so many of its kind – banking on skin-show, star-power and a couple of tired gags; it’s frightening to say that this is the only endurable option available to the Hindi film viewer currently.

If corny humor is your thing, give this film a chance. If you have even a modicum of intelligence or taste, however, stay far away from this one!

There is tacky, there is trashy and then there is a whole new depth of shamelessness...

Sketchily written, awkwardly directed, and devoid of a catchy music score, this brainbasher leaves you exhausted and exasperated...

The problem, as always, is that our filmmakers confuse no-brainer entertainment with no-brainer filmmaking. Housefull is far too long and laden with far too many emotional subplots to function fully as comedy.
