London Dreams

Eventually London Dreams is all about the joy of watching Salman and Ajay's chemistry. Their star power makes up for all the flaws. Both have put their heart and soul into the film, delivering powerhouse, career defining performances.

On the whole, London Dreams has superb performances from its principal cast and several emotionally-charged sequences as its two trump cards.

Vipul Shah has garnished the film with some convincing concert scenes but its Salman and Salman alone who turns the table for London Dreams and makes it worth a watch.

...is a decent entertainer and has its heart at the right place.

...is a robustly made, popular Bollywood drama that does not pretend to be otherwise.

Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have come out with winning performances but the subject of the flick is such that it will appeal mainly to the urbane, yuppie crowds in big cities. The lack of hit music will also keep the masses away from theatres, despite of it being a good movie. Above average fare.

...watch it for the Devgn-Salman thunder and for the simple reason that this is definitely one of Vipul Shah's better films.

Shah has the energy of the film on tap. If only he had got the story half as right.

...is worth a watch, though it could have been far better.

...suffers from a weak climax and bad music. That apart, the direction, story and performances deserve full marks.

You may like London Dreams for its beautiful frames, some paisa-vasool moments between Salman and Devgn, a good background score and catchy songs. For the rest, you need willing suspension of disbelief. And large doses of it.

It entertains and it engages but not for the entire length.

The film suffers from sloppy writing, amateurish handling of scenes and disappointing direction.

An “Amadeus”-inspired saga has wonderful musical segments, but a woeful dramatic heart. Plus, a feeble fantasy.

London Dreams is given a leg-up by a strong story let down in execution and technique.

For its dim-witted writing and sloppy direction, London Dreams is ultimately a tiresome watch.

For this film to have soared, it needed to have been a little more untethered, a little more free-spirited.

...is a head-clangier, lengthier than your lengthiest yawn, and totally destroyed by a story-script which is about as convincing as a technicolour zebra.

...is as much fun as a stuck record.

Go for it, only if you find the Ajay Devgn-Salman Khan Jodi irresistible.

London Dreams though predictable and lacking in pace is a visually mesmerizing musical treat.

There’s sex and drugs but not enough rock and roll.

There is no writing, merely good locations and great lighting...
