Clichéd yes, but certainly not unimpressive.

...is an emotional drama narrated in old-fashioned style. If old world charm still excites you, there are chances you may like this one.

...the film is emotionally dragging and is like an Ekta Kapoor soap. If you miss some portion of the film, you will not lose track, as the story just doesn't move ahead in the second half.

The film is not for all audiences with the older lot finding the actors of their generation the only draw.

Kanwar not only rakes an old-fashioned subject, his treatment is outmoded too. And there's nothing vintage about that.

There is melodrama at every step - from the romance, to the separation, to the mother-son emotions. The kind that could make an evolved audience, used to subtler sentiments, feel claustrophobic.
